Changes to the investment requirements in 2022 restricted some areas from being used as residential real estate. The Silver Coast is limited for investors to purchase commercial real estate for between \u20ac350,000 to \u20ac500,000. Unfortunately, investors need to look slightly inland from the Silver Coast to buy their property and can reduce the cost to \u20ac280,000.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Suppose real estate on the Silver Coast is not the primary route for an investor to obtain their Golden Visa. They can opt for making a \u20ac500,000 investment into a Portuguese Investment Fund and have the possibility for a significant return on their investment depending on market conditions over five to six years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Passive Income D7 Residence Permit<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Portugal D7 Residence Visa is also known as the Portugal &#8220;Passive Income&#8221; Visa, which allows non-EU citizens to obtain a residence permit in exchange for a passive income derived from a source other than employment.
